Michigan VR Travel Videos

Two peninsulas, and more freshwater coast than any other state. Drive north over the Mackinac Bridge, five miles of suspended roadway between Lake Michigan and Lake Huron, then take the ferry to Mackinac Island, where cars have been banned since 1898 and the traffic is horses and bicycles. Follow the Lake Superior shore to Pictured Rocks, where sandstone cliffs run for miles streaked orange and green by the minerals seeping through them. Climb the dunes at Sleeping Bear, and from the overlook look down four hundred and fifty feet to Lake Michigan. Walk to Tahquamenon Falls, running amber with tannins carried from the cedar swamps upstream. Take a boat or a seaplane out to Isle Royale, open only half the year. Then come south into Detroit for the Rivera murals and the sound this city sent out to the rest of the world.
